Story Telling & Literature
Some of us can write an essay or a book with ease. Others can fascinate for hours with stories on end. Using LEGO Bricks is another creative way to tell stories. From capturing a single moment to telling an entire story in a single scene.
Workshop info: Story Telling
Recommended Grades 3 - 8 Type: Individual & Team
Duration - 70-90 minutes
Content: This workshop consists of creating elements of a story such as settings, characters, and more. We instruct on how to build a single scene vignette that contains a setting. There is also a small group option where each student is assigned to build either a beginning, middle, or end of a story and combine them together.
The purpose of this workshop is to encourage imagination as each student creates their own version of a story, to focus on components that make up a story, and learn how to use Lego as a form of expression to convey different ideas
Please note: This workshop can be tied into existing books and stories your class is working on or some teachers will use the “build a setting” option as a start to this unit and have them create a story to go with their build.
Our Workshops for this subject can include re-creating parts or scenes from stories and books to creating new unique stories limited only to the imagination of the artist and author in brick.
